Acne Scar Treatment

Acne scars come in several types — atrophic (pitted), rolling, boxcar, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — and each responds to different treatments. We assess your scar types at consultation and design a plan using microneedling, RF energy, chemical peels, and Clarity II laser as appropriate. Most clients need a series of treatments and see progressive improvement over several months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which treatment works best for acne scars?

The most effective approach depends on your scar type. Atrophic and rolling scars respond well to microneedling and RF microneedling, which stimulate collagen from below. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation responds better to chemical peels and laser. Many clients have a mix of scar types, so a combination protocol is often most effective. We assess your scars at consultation and map out a specific plan.

How many treatments are needed for acne scars?

Most clients with moderate scarring see meaningful improvement after 3 to 6 treatments. More severe scarring may require additional sessions. Collagen remodeling continues for 3 to 6 months after each session, so results keep improving over time. We recommend spacing treatments 4 to 6 weeks apart and reassessing progress at each visit.
